Six members of the Western District Incident Management Team deployed to Nassau County for seven days to manage the after effects of Superstorm Sandy, which left a trail of death and destruction along the East Coast. Erie County Executive’s Press Secretary Peter Anderson said, “These guys won’t be going door-to-door. They won’t be heading out and rescuing people unless that’s absolutely necessary. They are more there to serve in a supervisory capacity helping to administer relief efforts.
