So what would it mean for the area if the games were hosted here? “The idea of bringing the Olympics to the United States and Canada, Canada and the United States, Toronto and Buffalo, is very intriguing to me,” said Byron Brown, Buffalo’s mayor. That idea was generated by Toronto Councillor James Pasternak. He told the the Toronto Sun he thinks his city should look into teaming up with a US counterpart, possibly for the summer Olympics in 2024.
