12-12-11: Courtesy of YNN. County Executive-elect Mark Poloncarz named Richard M. Tobe his Deputy County Executive Monday. Tobe brings with him 12 years of experience in county government. He was Commissioner of Environment and Planning for former County Executive Dennis Gorski. Tobe’s duties will include creating jobs in Erie County. Poloncarz has said job creation was his top priority. Tobe will also be in charge of exploring trade opportunities with Buffalo’s Canadian neighbors. “If I could put somebody in the office of Deputy County Executive who is the perfect match for helping us create new jobs, I was going to do it, and that’s what I did,” said Poloncarz, (D). Tobe also had a key role in negotiating a new lease between the Buffalo Bills and Erie County. He will begin serving his post in January.
