BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – New York’s fiscal watchdog is lending his support to the Democratic candidate for Erie County Executive.
State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli endorsed Mark Poloncarz on Monday. Poloncarz and DiNapoli are pledging to work together to create a more efficient state government.
DiNapoli said, “This is someone who in his 10 years as county comptroller has done more than 50 audits and reviews. He already has a blueprint for so many solutions.”
Poloncarz is challenging current Erie County Executive Chris Collins. Election day is November 8th.
