ALBANY, N.Y. – The Poloncarz campaign announced Thursday that Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has endorsed Mark Poloncarz (D) in the Erie County Executive race.
A recent Siena poll commissioned by WGRZ found that the two candidates were neck and neck in the race with Collins at 49% and Poloncarz at 46%.
Governor Cuomo said in a statement: “Mark has done an outstanding job as Erie County Comptroller. He has rooted out waste and fraud and fought hard to protect the taxpayers of Erie County. He will make the tough decisions necessary to reform Erie County government.”
Governor Cuomo is expected to campaign for Poloncarz in the coming days.
