5-29-14. Today, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz held a press conference to announce his intention to have Erie County borrow for its capital needs by itself once again without assistance from the control board. Poloncarz noted his efforts to personally reach out to underwriters with creative ideas to save taxpayer dollars because Comptroller Mychajliw refused to do his job and now called on the Comptroller to perform his charter mandated duties in completing the deal.
