11-8-12: Courtesy of YNN. Erie County Republican Legislators announced Thursday they are seeking residents’ input on the 2013 budget. The legislators are asking residents to fill-out a budget survey in response to County Executive Mark Poloncarz’s proposed budget which calls for a 3.4 percent property tax increase. Republican legislators oppose the proposed budget and want to hear residents’ voices. The survey will help determine if taxpayers support a property tax increase, and if they don’t what types of services that should be cut or eliminated, such as funding for libraries, cultural organizations, roads, and parks.
