3-30-12. Courtesy of WIVB. BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – Erie County wants to fix up the eye sores around town. Local leaders are joining County Executive Mark Poloncarz to battle the vacant property crisis. Poloncarz says the county has applied for a regional land bank that could help local municipalities clear the way for development. The land bank would also help Erie County deal with tax-delinquent properties. New York State is expected to approve 10 land banks this year. www.wivb.com
