Poloncarz met with the county legislature Thursday morning to outline his proposed changes for the 2012 budget. The democrat is calling for $4.7 million dollars in cuts. He also wants to see all funding restored for local cultural groups. Poloncarz said, “I believe there are certain programs, certain services, that the public not only demands but deserves. And I believe, based on the information and cuts that we think are legitimate cuts in county government, that we can fund these programs.” Poloncarz also wants to restore as many as 46 county jobs.
