Erie County Executive Releases Proposed 2012 Budget
9-30-11: Courtesy of WKBW. Today, Chris Collins released a budget that includes drastic cuts to the Erie County Comptroller’s Office for a second straight year. Although Collins said this is what is best for the county and its taxpayers, his opponent in the upcoming County Executive race Comptroller Mark Poloncarz said it’s a political jab directed at him. “Unfortunately, here we are again with what can only be described as vindictive and petty political cuts from the County Executive to the Comptrollers office which is the taxpayers watch dog,” Poloncarz said. As the political battle between the two candidates heats up, Collins said he will remain focused on his plan and propose budget for the taxpayers.
