Poloncarz calls for three televised County Executive debates this campaign season

In the spirit of ensuring that Erie County voters have the resources available to make an informed decision, Mark Poloncarz, the Democratic Candidate for Erie County Executive,  today called on his opponent, Chris Collins to debate him in three moderated televised debates this Fall, with one debate to be held using a town hall style meeting format.  Poloncarz proposed one debate be held in the City of Buffalo, one in the northern portion of Erie County and a third in the southern portion of the county.

In a letter, hand-delivered to the Collins campaign today, Poloncarz stated “It is incumbent on us to share our views and describe the direction each plans to take to make Erie County a better place to live work and raise a family.”

Additionally, Poloncarz stated “Every voter in Erie County deserves the chance to see us discuss the critical issues the county faces” and the “voters need to fully understand where each of us stand in order to make an informed decision this Election Day.”
