BUFFALO, NY — A former Buffalo News sportswriter who covered the Buffalo Bills for nearly two decades, was back home in the Queen City Tuesday for a sports marketing speaking engagement. YNN caught up with Vic Carucci and picked his brain about the latest negotiations between Erie County and the Buffalo Bills. Carucci says he remembers when the stadium had a facelift in the 90s – something he says was vital to keeping the team here. He says holding games in Toronto also help keep the team viable. “I think having that Toronto series has been a great boom for the franchise, again helping it,” Carucci said. “I know fans can say they’d prefer all the games to be in Orchard Park, but the reality is by having that series, they’re able to enjoy the team in Orchard Park.” Carucci says he still roots for the Bills, but when the two teams face off in September, he’ll be pulling for the Browns. buffalo.ynn.com
