Poloncarz Takes Positive Message to Airwaves

In New Ads, County Executive Promotes Economic Development, Leadership in Erie County

ERIE COUNTY, NY – Two more commercials began to air yesterday to promote Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz’s campaign for reelection. The two commercials promote Poloncarz’s positive accomplishments from the past four years and touch on the themes of economic development, job creation and fiscal stewardship of taxpayer dollars.

“I’m proud to run a positive campaign based on my proven leadership as Erie County Executive,” said Poloncarz. “My commercials highlight my record of job creation, strong leadership and prudent budgeting. I hope that voters will see that I have led the community in the right direction. I will continue to run a positive campaign based on my record of accomplishments.”

The ad “Forecast” describes how Poloncarz’s actions as County Executive have led to unemployment numbers decreasing and budget surpluses, all while protecting the services the public demands, like parks and libraries. As Poloncarz says in the ad, “Together, we weathered the storms.” The ad “Coach” shows Poloncarz as a volunteer hockey coach, describing how Poloncarz fought to protect Erie County during Winter Storm Knife in November 2014 and keep the community safe. The popular incumbent Democrat is running for election to a second term in office on Election Day, Tuesday November 3.

Poloncarz now has three commercials on the air, all of which highlight positive accomplishments of his administration. The first ad, “Steel City,” debuted last week and highlights Poloncarz’s success story in bringing the Canadian company Welded Tube to the old Bethlehem Steel site, creating 90 new full-time jobs. All three commercials can be viewed online.
